Scholarship

Each year Montgomery, AL Chapter of the GMWA  honors our founder, Georgia Lee Stafford Black, through philanthropy by providing financial support for active high school music students to help pay for a college degree. These funds enable students to obtain education they may not have access to otherwise. The Georgia Lee Stafford Black Memorial Scholarship rewards deserving students with the ability to afford higher education.  Because college scholarships are vital to many students, we choose to give back to community by promoting higher education among disadvantage students.  Application cycle begins February and ends in June each year.  All awardees will be announced in July.
