Our purpose is to perpetuate, promote and advance the Christian ideal through the medium of music and to enhance and upgrade the religious music in our churches.  We are a non-denominational, multicultural organization dedicated to the promotion and singing and performance of gospel music. Carrying out the legacy of our Founders, Rev. James Cleveland and Mrs. Georgia Lee Stafford Black, the choir performs year-round at local and regional events and is in high demand.  The Montgomery, AL Chapter and its supporters attend the National Convention to receive training and motivation to fulfill the mission of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc.
